Feeding Program

The Lord began the feeding ministry at the Elim soon after Mission was established in 1992. Each weekday the Lord provides for up to 70 meals for the needy through the Mission. Among these are between 30- 40 needy children from our local school, which have hard backgrounds and are suffering because of the problems in their families.

This ministry not only fills the children’s stomachs, but it opens many doors to the spiritual needs of these children and their families. Through the years we have seen some of the children come to Jesus, along with some of the members of their families. Some of these children are now older, and are now serving the Lord in a variety of ministries through the church and elsewhere.

An Open Invitation

The dinning room is also opened daily for others who are in need. Local people who have needs are invited come to the Mission and share together in a hot meal with the missionaries at Elim. They are often encouraged to come a little earlier, and to help out at the Mission before sharing the meal. This gives the Mission and opportunity to get the know those coming, as well as allowing them to contribute something from themselves.

We thank the Lord for how He has continued to provide so that this important ministry can continue for so many years.
