Crisis Shelter
Many years ago the local police approached the Mission to ask if we could give temporary shelter for homeless people, which was gladly embraced. Later the social welfare asked if the Mission could also provide temporary housing for those in a crisis, to which we felt the Lord would also want us to do.
Through the years, providing a temporary Crisis Shelter has brought a variety of people and families to Elim, and it has also provided an avenue to share the Gospel of the Jesus with many of them.
The Mission has been very blessed to have on hand good used-clothing, hot meals, warm showers and a fresh bed. This is a ministry that God brought to Elim., and we pray it will have fruit in people’s lives.
